Sorry for the abbreviated nature of the post this week; blame it on the mahi-mahi and the mai tais I was enjoying last week! Aloha! (Saturday night I was sitting at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel on Waikiki watching the sun set on Diamond Head. Vacations are always too short.)
- There’s a reason the Egotistical Priest is in the short list of 5-Star Blogs to the left. Thanks to her, we got turned on to a couple great new (to us) blogs: Gun-Lovin’ Dwarf Chick and Apathy, Inc. (I can’t wait to see how the trackback to Ego’s blog shows up in her Comments section…) Both blogs, of course, are added to our Recommended Blogs.
- Apathy, Inc. had a couple great posts this week: The first is on how to
care aboutenjoy WoW, while the second is a topic near and dear to my (former forum moderator/administrator’s) heart–the cesspool that is the official forums. Apathy’s "forum disclaimers" is a must-read for anyone venturing to Blizzard’s forums for the first time.
- Girl Meets WoW has an excellent writeup on the Headless Horseman event that started on October 18 as part of Hallow’s End. Great walk-through!
- More new (well, to me) blogs:
- The Eternal n00bie — I think we were separated at birth. Or something. A NE Hunter who thinks he’s always a step (or two) behind the pack. Fun reading!
- Girl Meets WoW — The author claims there really are gurlz on teh intarwebz. Personally, my view is "pics or it didn’t happen!" So, she includes a pic. The blog’s "About Girl Meets WoW" had me hooked–anyone who can put "murloc outbreeding" in a sentence has to be a must-read!
- Shifttusk Does PvP (BM Style) — Long-time readers of BRK will probably recognize Shifttusk as a frequent commenter; he’s now started his own PvP-oriented blog. So this one is new to everyone!

I always enjoy reading your Bloglights, so thank you for the post =)
I’m glad you had fun on vacation!
Okay, that made me laugh. You managed to almost exactly mirror my thought process while putting the site together. For about 5 minutes I wasn’t going to include a picture because it might seem a bit attention-seeking, and then I went “wait a second, this is setting myself up for ‘pics or it didn’t happen,’ isn’t it?”
Thanks for the link, K. Hawaii sounds fun, although it would probably turn me from gamer pale to bright pink in 24 hours…
@ GMW: Heheh…glad I gave you a chuckle.
My son & I played golf on Thursday last week–full sun; forgot sunscreen. “Lobsterman” was I! Forearms, lower legs, ears bright red (not pink; RED!).
But the plus side was the Navy’s Blue Angels aerial demonstration team was practicing for 3 hours 500 feet above our heads–made the not-so-good golfing not so bad.
