I hate “catch-up” time!

Coming back from vacation is as much un-fun as 8 days in Hawai’i is fun.

  • I didn’t even get through all my e-mails today, and there were only 57–half of which were "delete now"!
  • Our preliminary 2008 budget had a reduction of 2 bodies in a 12-deep branch that provides 7-day, 17-hour (we’re open 6am – 11pm) coverage–so I was tasked to help devise a strategy to cope.
  • And we have team meetings starting tomorrow at 8:30–the PowerPoint presentation needed 2 hours to update, and only an hour to do it. I did it–I’m that good. Rolling Eyes

Hopefully I’ll be all caught up by the end of the day tomorrow (oops…forgot about the 9:30 am conference call with corporate HR on our benefits open enrollment–which immediately follows the 8:30 team meeting I’m co-leading–this should be fun)…okay, maybe Thursday–so I can get back to some serious blogging.

I have company in my misery, though. Godspeed, Ego! (Incidentally, if you click the link, also read the next later article by EgoLock! "Must-See Blogging" there!

Glad to see you back!! I got worried after Hawaii Day One and then nary a peep from Kestrel. Thought you’d been carried off and sacrificed to a volcano. Glad to hear it was just “good vacation”

It was a GREAT vacation! I had a very few minutes each day to catch up on email, check out a few blogs, comment once or twice, and that’s about it. Not sure I even checked email for 3 of those days. :)
