Hi Pathos!

Someone (I don't know who) has ported some of the Discord mods to 2.0. I only use Unit Frames, but I see DAB is ported too. Bongos2 works well enough for me, and the things I really liked about DAB have been eliminated by Blizzard's UI changes.

However, if you're interested, here's the link to see what files are available: http://discord.tetzfiles.com/

I know I'm busy putting comments on an old post (apologies), but how are you still using Discord? I was under the impression that they disappeared when BC hit, and I haven't had much luck finding a recent version of their mods. I used to *love* Discord pre-BC for the ability to micromanage my UI placement. If it's still alive, I'd love to know! :)

@ Sherri:

I hope some of this is useful then. :) Of course, I didn't touch on a bunch of stuff...CyCircled, for example (I think that's the name of it--BRK uses it), which turns buttons into circles. I intend to try that out.

I also have a WoW-capable laptop, and maybe I should set that up with a more laptop-friendly UI. (Mine has 1GB of RAM though, and I suspect a lot of laptops are only running 512K.)

Something else you might want to check out, at both Curse and WoW Interface, are UI compilations. There may be some out there that are specifically designed for laptops, which means minimal footprint, both in memory and screen clutter.

Wow, I am honored...I get a whole post...funny thing is I was so busy adding more blogs to my Google Reader, and yours is already on there(I saw it had updated) I finally check it and...VOILA!!

Some info...I use a laptop, so I dont have alot of screen real estate so to speak. I also have to watch that I do not become addon bloated to slow my machine down. My main is a 70 Holy Pally, but I also have alts (Hunter, Rogue, Shammy) that I play and working to level up also.

I also dont like a "cluttered screen" I have seen some people with add on and you have a small space to see whats going on. I just installed Violation as a damage meter, as it lets me re-size it and move it so its not a distraction to me. I currently am running FuBar with some various plugins and Cartographer.

I like the look of the rounded icons and being able to group stuff together, yet still have quick and easy functionality. I have never dabbled in macro's, and I am a casual player.

Thats some basic info...what else can I offer you or anyone in advice. I appreciate the help in this Addon Journey I am about to start!
