As I wrote last week, I acquired a new domain name for the Aerie, and after some trials and tribulation, we’re finally set up at kestrelsaerie.us. So, all the furniture is delivered, along with a lot of boxes. The New Kestrel’s Aerie is now open!
Now all I need to do is unpack the boxes–the ones labeled "5-Star Blogs," "5-Star Resources," and "Blogroll." Unfortunately, while moving posts and comments from one WordPress blog to another is trivial, realigning categories and the rest of that stuff in the left margin isn’t so easy. Brute-force methods must be employed. In our case, that means a LOT of copy-and-paste.
However, I finally have the RSS feeds for articles and comments properly routed through FeedBurner. So, you should see no difference in the feeds.
One thing I’m going to do is turn off comments on this site, but of course they’ll be allowed on the new site.

That will help the Technorati Authority widget update again, among other things. 
Everyone, thanks again for your visits, and now that we have this major undertaking about 90% complete, I hope to be channeling a lot more content, more often, in the days and weeks to come.
