Blogging Blahs

I have a severe case of writer’s block. (You never would have guessed? You’re too kind.)

I think part of the problem is, I haven’t been doing much in game except to grind for gold to get Osprey’s dragon mount (secondary goal) and Falken’s epic flyer (main goal). Along the way, I did manage to get a bunch of Netherstorm quests done with Talonis, but that was still part of the strategy of earning more gold.

Oh, I’ve also been playing Hunter #2, Sparverius, while helping guildies level up, and that’s enjoyable too–nice break from the slogging that is running a Holy Priest through the Netherwing dailies (I may have mentioned this once, but thank the Light again for the conversion of +Heal to +Spell Damage!, or it would be impossible). Problem with that is, I think I have forgotten half of what I knew about how to heal. (I mean, really: How much healing do you think I had to do last night when I was running through there with two druids, one of whom is a mooncannon? I tossed a couple frisbees around just for the fun of hearing the sound effect.)

However, I think there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. I really do want to start pushing the guild back into raiding, and continuing to level up a couple guys to 70. There are also a couple alts (not mine) we need to move up too, to provide us with some good alternatives in our 5-man groups. But to be honest, unless we recruit (something I think we’re not ready to do), we’re going to have to hook up with some other guild(s) to tackle Kara. Problem there, is that none of us are social butterflies (remember how long it took me to start pugging? and I’m ahead of the curve!), so that could be a ways off too. On the plus side, there is plenty of good gear to be had in the 5-mans (and we can certainly get to the point where we run Heroics), so I’m not very concerned about Kara. For myself, I would like to get there, but I can wait.

And if you’re still here, looking for a real point to this post, well…the title should have been a clue that this wasn’t going to be Pulitzer stuff. ;)

Since I don’t think I’ll go to Kata myself, I’m kind of bored of reading hundreds of stories about Kara runs … Nice to hear about something as mundane grinding once in a while ! :)

    Good patch day ! :P
