“No Brag, Just Fact”

A [Fistful of Feathers] if you can tell us from whom or what that line originates. (Like how I did that? Because a preposition is a bad thing to end a sentence with.)

Yes, I have a point; sorry, my granddaughter’s silliness is contagious I guess.

Last night, Swissy and I reentered BGs: Alterac Valley (1 – 1) (BG Daily); Arathi Basin (2 – 0); Eye of the Storm (2 – 0) (on EOTS Honor weekend, no less!). Alliance rocked last night—and all of these were PUGs! Our first battle in AV was a loss; I don’t think it was close. Then we reeled off 5 straight wins. But by far the most satisfying was the AV win, right after a humiliating loss.

And then we looked at the final tally (page one of the entire BG roster, sorted by HK):

Now I realize a bit of luck and being in the right place at the right time are both factors in the HK totals, but it seems to me that those are two factors that also have a sizable bearing on whether we win or lose. I also know I need to increase my damage output; right now, that’s somewhat gear-restricted. But I did get into a much better rhythm with my stabbity-stabbity, so I feel good about that.

Now, a question: According to a WoW Wiki strat guide for BGs, Rogues or Druids should be Flag Carriers. Druids, I get: travel form FTW. Rogues? I can sprint for 10 seconds, unless I get hit with any number of stuns or slows (Concussive Shot FTL). So if I get the flag, can I even stealth? I can see maybe grabbing the flag and sprinting for the Mage Tower or Dranei Ruins in EOTS, but of course about halfway there, I will be down to my normal run speed. (And atm, I have no other speed/haste buffs.) So is that the intent?

And for those of you who could care less about BGs, I promise to try to delve into other content as soon as the adrenaline rush wears off.

Yeah, sprinting is the intent. It ain’t perfect, ’cause ya runs out of juice, but yer better off than somebody what didn’t have no juice to start with. Pretty sure if ya stealths then you drop the flag – I knows WSG works that way.

And yes, no stealthing with the flag. But sprint is nice for a boost out of the flag area, and evasion for when they try to catch you.

Yep; did that today. Preparation up is good too…can sprint all the way to any of the towers.

I’m guessing “Fistfull of Feathers” comes from “Fistfull of Dollars” the classic spaghetti western from Sergio Leone starring Clint Eastwood (sorry, Film School Grad, can’t help myself.)

Well, the line I was referring to is the title of the article. :) I don’t want to be a copycat and give out Super Cool Points, so occasionally there’s a spare fistful of feathers, from a Blade’s Edge Mountains quest.
