I had that build on my 70 S1 geared rogue for a week of grinding and he was hitting clothies for 5100 ambush crits and 3k backstabs. Shadowstep gives you the mobility and daggers the fun crits...Really hoping for a dagger buff in 2.4 though...BTW great blog, I have been reading it for a while but just got around to posting. Allies kept doing well, right up to the very end when suddenly we went from 2-2 to 3-1, and I think 4-1 at the end. I really need to respec to Sub though. But I can tell you that, while it doesn't provide the DPS that Combat Swords does, Subtlety is a tasty treat for rogues when doing PvP. I strongly recommend giving it a shot if you're going to be doing more BGs than raiding with him. It'll take some getting used to.
