@Gretadelle: Thanks for stopping by. Yep…Kill Command is like manna from heaven to a Hunter! And I just had the thought that I should modify my Scorpid Sting/Mend Pet macro with Alt for Serpent and Ctrl for Viper Sting for those occasions when a different Sting is more appropriate–thanks for triggering that idea!

so impatient to get my Kill Command! soon, very soon.

I have my mend pet on a mend-in-combat, feed-out-of-combat macro. I used to have a really complicated one that would also call or revive depending on alt/ctrl but now that I use ZHunterMod all those buttons are handy anyway.

@Pike LOL…I know the Owl eats meat; my actual macro has Wind Serpent instead of Owl. I changed it in your honor, and forgot to change the food. :p

However, I think I’ll edit it back to Wind Serpent, to eliminate any confusifications, as our friend Ratter would say.

Aww, thanks for the plug! I'm really glad to know that my article was helpful to people. The owl and cat both eat meat actually, quite handy because then I don't have to carry around two separate stacks of food. One of these days I'll make a macro post too, that's a good idea. And oh my…/blush at the very nice compliments!!

Just one thing…”now that I have a hunter”? I have 3 hunters; 2 are level 70. *grin*

Your macro is similar to mine (I have the sounds disabled either in a mod or the basic UI…same with error displays). However, mine weaves in Arcane Shot. That’s one of the things I want to compare in WWS, just what effect Arcane has when using the macro, and whether I can hit Kill Command on my own, without using the macro.

Kestral! First of all, love the blog and love you. you are one of those priceless bloggers that constantly contribute to the community by reading all the new ones, commenting and linking- we really appreciate it. Thuenderman down at FaithfulAffliction talks about you all the time and has got me reading you- now that you have a hunter, I’m having even more fun.

the Macros look good- one I might add to your repertoire’ is (if you have steady shot yet)

#showtooltip Steady Shot
/console Sound_EnableSFX 0
/cast !Auto Shot
/cast [target=pettarget, exists] Kill command
/cast Steady Shot
/console Sound_EnableSFX 1
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()

Now we switch lines 4 & 5 to avoid UI issues, but it works this way too. give it a try, it’s a brainless way to improve DPS. It works because Kill Command isn’t on the global CD. The reason for all the sound gibberish is cause otherwise it spams that horrible sound- this disables ti just long enough for the one command, but not your shots.

Oh, and we do NOT take credit for this macro, we couldn’t write it if we tried. not sure where it came from.
