Clichequest lives up to its name, in spades! The artist who draws the strip describes it thusly: “Adventures and misadventures of Ohforfsake, a n00b in the online game Clichequest. Now with 33% more generic evil creatures!”
Incorporating and reinforcing every single stereotype, cliche, and n00b “mistake” we’ve all seen, and drawing its material from every Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game ever made (or will be made), The Noob Comic is side-splittingly hilarious. There are not-very-subtle references to EverQuest (“Train to zone!”), Dark Ages of Camelot, and World of Warcraft (and some explicit references as well). But the situations are common to almost every game.
Rated NSFW for some language, adult themes, and because you might not be able to adequately explain your hysterical laughter to your boss or co-workers.
I wanted to insert a panel just to whet your appetite, but WordPress 2.5 is having issues with image uploads and insertion. While the issues don’t affect everyone, I seem to be one of those for whom nothing seems to be working yet. So you’ll just have to head over to Clichequest on your own, and be totally and completely immirthed.
