Seriously. The default editor in WordPress is worse than the one in Blogger, and that one drove me nuts because nothing ever looked the way I entered it. (Just one of the many reasons I left Blogger for WP.)
Now, I think I have some kind of buggy code somewhere, or a misbehaving plugin (although almost all have been updated post-2.5), but I could not insert an image in my posts, no matter what I tried.
Checking on Tuesday, I found my commercial WP editor plugin, Wysiwyg Pro 3, was updated on April 7 to version 1.3.4, with an apology from the devs for taking so long to fix it. ‘Sokay, you guys…it’s fixed, and I appreciate it!!
WordPress authors, if you aren’t using Windows LiveWriter (which I’ve used once, and will probably use more once I start blogging from home more), it’s worth the $54 to get rid of the headache that is WordPress’ built-in editor. (BTW, can anyone get the "HTML" button to work on that thing?)
In any event, I can blog comfortably once more. And after all, it IS all about me!

WYSIWYG editors are of the devil.
I went into my user settings and turned off the wysiwig editor. I edit the html manually. Old school web designer
