Just as I was about to log out last night, a friend linked a pattern she was looking at in the Auction Hall. And only 500g! I thought about it for maybe 2 seconds, decided the boots themselves were worth that much if they could be purchased on the AH, and I high-tailed it for Ironforge.
My rationale was that at my rate of progression, I might improve my footwear in baby steps, but the Boots of the Long Road would probably last me through most of Kara, if not further. As well, I wouldn’t have to rely on the whim of the loot gods. I already had everything except 3 spellcloth, which I borrowed from Katika. (Another guildie owes me 5, and I can make one today anyway.)
Unbuffed +Healing jumped from 1495 to 1542; MP5 inched up from 173 to 178. And that’s pre-enchant. Mana pool is 9700+, but health is still way lower than I’d like, and spirit is only 317. Still, progress is progress.
Congrats on the pattern! You’ll keep Boots of the Long Road until T6. The upgrade from them drops off BT/MH trash.
