Do you have a dozen or more blogs in your RSS feed reader? (Over a hundred? Really?? Welcome to my world!) Ahem…sorry…back on point here… Have you read some of your favorite blogs and thought, "Gee, I think I could do that" or "Gosh, I wish I could do that"?
Maybe what’s holding you back is that you think you don’t have anything interesting to say. After all, who wants to read yet another strat guide? How many different ways can people talk about how awesome druids are, and still be unique?
Well here’s your chance: I’m inviting non-bloggers to contribute an article for Kestrel’s Aerie, to be published on Fridays. This isn’t a contest; I really don’t expect a whole lot of response. But if you would like to see your words published on the intarweb, to see what kind of feedback you might get from readers, or to experience "how it feels" to blog, then by all means, give it a shot.
All you need to do is submit an article using my Contact Form. And while it’s your article I’ll publish, it’s my blog, so there are a few guidelines.
- First, please fill in all the blanks on the contact form. After all, I want to give credit where it’s due. In the Subject, include "Guest Article."
- Second, please spell-check your document and proofread it for grammatical correctness. If you quote someone, link it! If you want to include pictures, email them (preferably PNG or JPG; GIF is acceptable) to kestrel at kestrelsaerie dot us. (Be sure you let me know what they are for!)
- Finally, this is a WoW blog, so articles should be WoW-related. (If you’d rather blog about your dog’s obedience class, fine, but I probably won’t publish that one.)
With any luck, the first guest article will go up on Friday, July 11. So why are you waiting?
