In a couple hours, the beautiful almost-4-year-old pictured here will be arriving with her mom. She’ll be staying with us at least a couple weeks while her mom volunteers at Camp Friendship, a summer camp for physically and mentally disabled kids.1
So, I get to play Grandpa for a bit. Since Alie is generally up around 7am (I hope it’s not earlier!), we will be too. We have all kinds of fun things planned (including visits with Alie’s maternal grandparents, who also live in Rapid City, but are in the midst of a home renovation project.
Of course, this means my online time, for both playing WoW as well as blogging, will be cut back quite a bit. (Although Alie does enjoy watching Grandpa "play his game": She obviously enjoys jumping, running, riding and flying. Not so keen on battles, especially if they’re pretty noisy. Oh…and she likes Talonis’ cat!)
I’m also hoping to watch more of the Olympics than I’ve been able to watch in many years, since I won’t be working when a lot of the events are taking place.
I’ll still be checking in and will try to get the occasional article up; I’m even hopeful I’ll get to raid at least a couple times a week. But for the next several days, my focus will be on something a whole lot more important (and a LOT cuter) than Al’ar or Leotheras.
Talk to you all again soon!2

Have a great time with that beautiful lil granddaughter of yours!!
