You may not see it now, especially if you’re looking at this in a feed reader, but the Aerie is about to undergo a major overhaul (see what I did there? gotta be a word for it!).
I just purchased the Thesis premium WordPress theme from DIYThemes, with an eye to making this place look semi-professional (or at least polished).
I’ve been considering Thesis for several months, and finally bit the bullet (and spent the cash) today. Some of the reasons I was sold on Thesis include my attachment to the 3-column format you’ve seen on the Aerie ever since my move to self-hosting (most of you don’t even know from pre-self-hosting
), as well as the ability to tweak the theme every-which-way. Of course, that feature feeds right into my thirst for add-ons, plugins, and gadgets.
I’m not sure when the first changes will appear, although I suspect I’ll try to turn it on sometime Friday (unless I get really productive in the next 2 hours). However, Arrens is distracting me in BA Chat, and Softi went out without her jumper today. So who knows?1
At any rate, you’ve been warned. I promise to try not to break anything too badly…but then, I get clumsy at times.
Notes:
- And I found out that Softi is also using Thesis, so a real live brain to pick! W00t! ↩

LOL what are you like – it’s a sweater ok? Bloody yanks…

Yeah, but look at the spike in hits your blog got between the time I blogged and you commented!
Silly Scots!
Can’t deny that…
It’s looking good btw! I love the lil twitter/subscription buttons you have on the top right there – you’ll need to email me the hook for that one!

Hi – the Thesis Theme looks Good
Off topic, but:
Have you seen the ‘review’ of your site on Tuscson SEO Solutions? (day 84)
You are now plural!!

Hi Rhys
I did, in fact, see that “review.” I read it a couple times, and it only left me confused. I really didn’t “get it.” But I’m also not much into active SEO, either, so perhaps that’s why I was left more confused than anything.
