It sounds okay, but it's almost 2' away from my mouth, and of course would pick up any ambient noise. When I tested with my Sennheiser headset mic, though, the sound was <i>so</i> much better, so that's the way I'll go. The only issue is if I ever decide to include video, the picture of me with that headset on is rather off-putting.
